About

Built for the people who actually file 1099s.

IRISfile is independent tax-filing infrastructure. No private equity, no enterprise sales motion, no per-form cash register. One flat monthly rate, one filing pipeline, one window of attention each January through March.

Why now

FIRE is retiring. The replacement is XML, not optional.

The IRS is shutting down the FIRE filing system on December 31, 2026. Every 1099 transmitter has to move to IRIS — a new XML schema (Pub 5718) and a new submission API (A2A). For transmitters with hundreds or thousands of returns, the only way through is a tool that speaks both formats.

The existing options charge per form ($0.68–$0.80 each) and optimize for the filer who pushes a button five times a season. For multi-client tax practices, that pricing turns a 3,200-form February into a $2,176 line item for one feature.

IRISfile flips it. One subscription. Every form type we support. Every client. Conversion today; A2A submission as soon as the 2027 filing season opens.

Who

Operated by PixelCove LLC.

PixelCove is an agentic-tooling shop that builds production infrastructure for compliance-heavy verticals. IRISfile is its first vertical product — a deliberate, narrow bet on the IRIS transition rather than a generic-tax-software pivot.

The operator behind it has spent years inside the SEO and technical-marketing stacks at large institutions, where the cost of broken filings is paid in compliance reports rather than refund tickets. That bias toward correctness — schema validation, audit trails, receipts — is the product’s spine.

How we build

Composed, exact, modern.

  • Accuracy is the aesthetic. Tabular figures, schema-validated XML, audit trails on every submission. Beauty without exactness fails this domain.
  • Specificity over generality. “FIRE retires Dec 31, 2026” — not “big changes coming.” The brand voice never rounds.
  • Respect the operator. Tax pros know their domain. We don’t over-explain, we don’t hide what the system is doing, and we don’t charge per form.
